The Restoration Committee of the Ogdensburg Cemetery Association will sponsor a fall Open House, Historical Tour, and bulb planting at the cemetery on Sept. 13 with a rain date of September 20. Participants will be greeted at the Chapel by Tour Guide, Mary Fay Allen at 10 a.m.
The tour will be videotaped for future reference and review. Members of the Restoration Committee will be on hand to answer questions, provide refreshments, and participate in the planting of bulbs, shrubs, etc. to enhance the spring/summer appearance of the cemetery in 2004.
Visitors will notice that the new signage uses the original spelling of Ogdensburgh (with the h). Positive comments have been received from recent visitors to the cemetery regarding the visible improvements that have been made thus far. The next major project will involve the beginning of a stone fence on either side of the main entrance.
