Arthur Berry

TUPPER LAKE--Arthur Berry, 87, of the Wawbeek Road died Saturday morning about 5:55 in Mercy General Hospital where he had been a patient about three days.

He was a retired farmer and had made his home in Tupper Lake for the past 32 years.

He was born Dec. 28, 1884 in St. Agnes, Que., the son of Cleophas and Flore Bourdonnais LaFramboise (Berry). His wife, the former Exina Moquin died in 1938.

Survivors include three daughters, Doris Oroszi of Knob Nester, Mo., Cleo Whetlock of Buffalo, and Olive Denue of Tupper Lake; two sons, Clifford Berry of Childwold and Edmund Berry of Buffalo; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Berry of St. Blaze, Que., and Walter Berry of Detroit, Mich.

The funeral service was held this morning at 10 o’clock at St. Alphonsus’ Church. Burial was in Gale Cemetery.
