Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 p.m. at Richer Funeral Home with the Rev. Ernest Francia officiating, for William J. McMillian, 75, who died Saturday at his home in Piercefield. Burial was in the Gale Cemetery in Childwold.

Born on August 23, 1874, the son of Allen and Hannah McMillian in Manistee, Michigan, he had made his home in Piercefield for the past 38 years. He was a former steam fitter and plumber of the International Paper Co., at their Piercefield plant.

He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Bessie Rogers, whom he married in 1903 in Sault Ste Marie, Ont.; three sons, Orville of Malone, Noble of Piercefield and Gilbert of Rochester; and two grandchildren.
