Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 a.m. with the Rev. A. Ernest Francis, officiating, for Ferris T. Shumway, 63, of Childwold, who died at 9:30 Tuesday night in the Sunmount VA Hospital after a long illness. Burial will be in the Gale Cemetery.

A life long resident of Childwold he was employed by the State of New York for several years, worked 17 years as a guide for the Arpeako Club and also several years as a carpenter.

Survivors include his wife the former Miss Grace Kyle, whom he married in 1927, three sons, Edwin L., Lake Placid, Kenneth F. of Saranac Lake and Thomas of Utica; one daughter, Mrs. Anna May Schott of Utica and two sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Berhaupp of Gloversville and Mrs. Fred Gleichman of Keyport, N.J.

The body will repose at the Richer Funeral home until time of services.
