NORWOOD--Funeral services for Beatrice P. Francis, 79, of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Norwood, will be held in the spring at St. Andrew’s Church in Norwood. Burial will be in Hale Cemetery in Norfolk.

Mrs. Francis died on Monday (Feb. 4, 2002) in St. Petersburg, Fla.

She is survived by two sons, Terry Francis and his wife Donna, New Paltz, and Dr. Andrew Francis Jr., Long Island; one sister, Kay Kennedy, West Stockholm; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Andrew Francis Sr., who passed away in 1999; and his son, John Francis of Norfolk, who passed away in 1997.

Mrs. Francis was born in Winthrop, the daughter of Edward and Grace (Brink) Pollack.

She attended Norwood schools, cosmetology school in Syracuse and operated a beauty salon in Norwood for many years. She moved to Bradenton in 1979.

She was a member of St. Andrew’s Church in Norwood and later joined Sacred Heart Church in Bradenton. She enjoyed needlework crafts and was an active hospital volunteer.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
