NORFOLK--Funeral services for Winifred E. Fredenburg, 73, of 319 E. Orvis St., Massena, will be held today at 11 a.m. at the Buck Funeral Home, Norfolk, by the Rev. Richard Lenz. Spring burial will be in the Hale Cemetery in Norfolk.
Calling hours will be held Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Fredenburg died Saturday morning (March 18, 2000) at her home. She had been in ill health since February.
Surviving are three sons, Lawrence Fredenburg, Sterling, N.Y., Jerry Fredenburg of Fulton, N.Y. and Kenneth Fredenburg of Massena; seven daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Mary) Woodward of Massena, Faye Fredenburg of Fulton, N.Y., Mrs. Paul (Carol) Stacker of Fort Huachuca, Ariz., Mrs. Richard (Bonnie) Hooper of Ogdensburg, Mrs. Ronald (Peggy) Villnave of Bombay, Mrs. Hovanes (Karen) Zhamakochyan of Las Vegas, Nev. and Mrs. Cynthia Fredenburg of Lamont, Calif.; 35 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; four brothers, Gene Jandreau of North Lawrence and Lloyd, Alex and Vernon Jandreau, all of Norwood; four sisters, Mrs. Inez Fredenburg of Shortsville, N.Y. , Mrs. Carrie Lashomb of Lancaster, Mass., Mrs. Irene Pike of Norfolk and Mrs. Pauline White of Norwood.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Cathy Fredenburg, who died in 1973; a son, Wayne; two brothers, Ivan and Harley Jandreau; and a sister, Eleanor Delosh.
She was born in Norfolk on Feb. 1, 1927, the daughter of Francis Jandreau and Pauline Fredenburg Jandreau. She married Kenneth Fredenburg on July 31, 1946. He died in May of 1976. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family very much.
