Dairy Farmer

NORWOOD--Burr Kingsley, 100, Old Market Road, died Tuesday morning at his home.
Mr. Kingsley was a dairy farmer, maple syrup producer and raised raspberries until his retirement.
Born Jan. 8, 1899, in Stockholm, a son of John and Nettie Wilkins Kingsley, he married Bernice H. Cyrus on Sept. 12, 1936, in Gouverneur. She died March 6, 1982.
A former director of Norwood-Norfolk Rod & Gun Club, he enjoyed hunting and trapping.
Surviving are a son, Allen, Potsdam; a stepson, Charles E. Kingsley, Norwood; two daughters, Mrs. Jon (Cheryl) Hazen and Mrs. Robert (Norma) Burns, both of Raymondville; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Robert (Audrey) Bicknell, Potsdam, and Mrs. Dean (Jean) Farnsworth, Arizona; eight grandchildrena and 12 great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and a sister died before him.
The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Buck Funeral Home, Norfolk, with the Rev. Richard Lenz officiating. Burial will be in Hale Cemetery, Norfolk.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley or Norfolk Volunteer Rescue Squad.
