NORFOLK--Funeral services for Harold "Red" Martin, 74, of 22 Sober St., Norfolk, will be held today at 3 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk with the Rev. Lee Sweeney, pastor of the Knapps Station Community Church, officiating. Burial will be in Hale Cemetery, in Norfolk.
Calling hours will be held today from noon to 3 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home.
Mr. Martin died Saturday afternoon (May 14, 2005) at his home.
He is survived by his wife, Mary of Norfolk; three sons, Harold Jr. and companion Tabitha Aldridge of Norfolk, William and Daisy Martin of Norfolk, and Lyle Martin of Norfolk; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, George Martin of Bradenton, Fla., and Napolean Jr. and Lena Martin of Red Creek; and three sisters, Mrs. Gladys Blair of Norwood, Mrs. Lyle (Hazel) Felix of Norfolk, and Mrs. Leroy (Ellen) Simmons of Norwood.
He was predeceased by three brothers, David Martin, Paul Martin and Melvin Martin; and three sisters, Doris Snickles, Mabel Brothers and Elizabeth Martin.
Mr. Martin was born in Dickinson Center, the son of Napolean and Elizabeth LePage Martin.
He married Mary Rousaw. He was employed at Page Airways in Webster in the shipping and receiving department before becoming disabled.
