RAYMONDVILLE--Karen A. McComber, 45, of 8670 Route 56, was pronounced dead Saturday evening at Massena Memorial Hospital. An autopsy was to be performed today.

 

Mrs. McComber was a homemaker.

 

Born Nov. 29, 1956, in Massena, daughter of Burton R. and Aletha Fetterly Benedict Ward, she married Dale McComber on April 19, 1980.

 

Surviving besides her husband and her mother of Massena are a daughter, Erin McComber, Norfolk; three brothers, Kevin Benedict, Raymondville, Keith Benedict, Norfolk, and Nelson Benedict, Massena; two sisters, Mrs. Wendell (Charlotte) Ward and Mrs. Bernard (Brenda) Lanning, both of Norfolk, and a grandson.

 

A half-brother, Wendell C. Fetterly, and two sisters, Patricia Brothers and Wanita Benedict, died before her.

 

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Buck Funeral Home, Norfolk, with the Rev. Richard Lenz, pastor of the United Methodist Church, Norfolk, officiating. Burial will be in Hale Cemetery, Norfolk.

 

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Massena Volunteer Rescue Squad or Massena Dive Team.
