NORFOLK--Georgianna L. Newtown, 55, of 78 W. Main St., died Saturday morning at her home, where she was under the care of St. Lawrence Valley Hospice. She had been ill with cancer.

Mrs. Newtown was a homemaker and cared for the children of many Norfolk area families over the years.

Born Feb. 22, 1948, in Potsdam, daught3er of LeRoy and Lulu Drew Perry, she married Thomas Newtown on Oct. 17, 1970.

Surviving besides her husband are two sons and their wives, Michael and Jessica, Norwood, and Robert and Cindi, Watertown; a brother, James Perry, Potsdam; two sisters, Mrs. John (Linda) Newton, Madrid, and Mrs. Timothy (Patricia) Davis, Plattsburgh; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Norfolk United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Lenz officiating. Burial will be in Hale Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Buck Funeral Home, Norfolk.
