D.J. Blair, Aged 75, Dies

 

(January 3, 1887-August 28, 1962)

 

Norwood--Daniel Joseph Blair, 75, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 1962, at 7:30 a.m., at the Potsdam Hospital where he had been a patient for three days. He had been in failing health for about two weeks.

 The body was removed to the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood where friends may call. Funeral services were held at 9 a.m., Thursday, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church and The Rev. Msgr. Francis J. Maguire officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Norwood.

 He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Anna Fannin, Rochester,; Mrs. Leon (Mary) Dalton, Waddington; Mrs. William (Edna) Felix, Norfolk; three sons, Glenford Blair, Sodus; Francis Blair, Norfolk; Ralph Blair, Lexington, Va; one sister; Mrs. Rose Snyder, Herkimer; and several grandchildren.

 Mr. Blair was born in Buckton Jan. 3, 1887, son of William and Adele Peshia Blair. He married Alma Shatraw Apr. 8, 1907. She died Apr. 15, 1960. They have always lived in the Norwood-Norfolk area. He retired several years ago from the Norfolk Paper Mill.
