NORWOOD--The funeral for Elizabeth M. Bowhall, 94, of 39 S. Main St., will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church with Monsignor Harry K. Snow, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Bowhall died Friday morning at her home.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Buck Funeral Home, Norwood.

Mrs. Bowhall taught for several years in Dolgeville and Norwood.

She was a communicant of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the New York State Retired Teachers Association.

Born Dec. 10, 1910, in Norwood, daughter of Cornelius P. and Mary Ann Barry McCormick, she graduated from Norwood High School in 1927 and from Potsdam Normal School in 1930.

She married Roscoe C. Bowhall on June 25, 1938, in the sacristy of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church with the Rev. James E. Joy, then pastor, officiating. Mr. Bowhall retired from Northern Mechanical, where he was a bookkeeper, accountant and purchasing agent and also had served as a mayor and trustee of the village of Norwood. He died Feb. 24.

Surviving are a daughter, Ann B. Murphy, Chestertown; a son-ion-law, Douglas F. Clary, Noblesville, Ind.; a sister, Eileen St. Mary, Cicero; two sisters-in-law, Irene McCormick and Beverly Grady, both of Norwood; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A daughter, Colleen B. Clary, died Feb. 6, 2004. Five brothers, Bernard, Richard, James, Gerald and Cornelius McCormick, and five sisters, Frances McQuaid, Helen Hardy, Kathryn McCormick, Marion Grow and Doris Dailey, also died before her.
