God gave us a dainty flower, a tiny baby boy.

He was our blue eyed darling. He was our pride and joy.

His laughing eyes, his smiling face, were reasons for our mirth,

For god had graced us with this gift, an angel here on earth.

But now our joy has turned to tears, and we seem all alone,

For God has picked his dainty flower and called our angel home.

Oh God, give strength to bear our woe. We miss Thy gift so choice.

We can't forget our baby boy, but listen for his voice.

We have no doubt he's in Thy hands. This lightens some our load,

And may he guide our footsteps as we journey on life's road.

And so, dear Heavenly Father, bring comfort as we part,

He's joined your angel baby band and left us aching hearts.
