Colleen B. Clary

Teacher, payroll manager

NORWOOD--Colleen Bowhall Clary, 58, Canton, Mich., formerly of Norwood, died Friday at her home. She had been ill with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Mrs. Clary taught school in Hawaii and Brasher Falls and then moved to Michigan. For 10 years she had been payroll manager at Sarnamotive Blue Water in Marysville, Mich.

Born June 19, 1945, in Potsdam, daughter of Roscoe C. and Elizabeth Bowhall, she graduated from Norwood-Norfolk Central School in 1963 and received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Potsdam State University College.

She married Douglas F. Clary on April 8, 1967, at St. Andrew’s Church with Monsignor Francis J. Maguire officiating.

She was a member of Port Huron (Mich.) Power Squadron and a communicant of Holy Family Church, Novi, Mich.

Surviving besides her husband are her parents, of Norwood; a daughter and her husband, Laura and Randy Parker, Los Gatos, Calif.; a son and his wife, Mark and Nancy, Ann Arbor, Mich.; a sister, Ann Murphy, Troy, a granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew’s Church. There will be no local calling hours. Arrangements are with O’Brien-Sullivan Funeral Home, Novi, Mich.
