Kenneth P. Cuthbert

(January 21, 1979--August 14, 1909)

 

MADRID--Funeral services for Kenneth P. Cuthbert, 69, Bridge Street, Madridwill be Wednesday, Jan. 24, 1979 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, Madrid, Msgr. Joseph Bailey, pastor, officiating. Friends may call at the Fay G. Mann Funeral Home, Madrid, Tuesday evening. There will be a vigil service 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the spring in Calvary Cemetery, Norwood.

 

Mr. Cuthbert died about 3:30 a.m. Sunday (Jan. 21, 1979) in Canton-Potsdam Hospital.

 

Surviving are his wife, Veleta; two daughters, Adrienne Cuthbert, Madrid, and Mrs. Duane (Beth) Clookey, Madrid; two brothers, Charles, Norwood, and William, Potsdam; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

 

Mr. Cuthbert was born in Knapps Station, Aug. 14, 1909, son of William and Rose LaPrad Cuthbert. He graduated from Norwood Central School in 1928 and attended business school in Syracuse. On Nov. 24, 1938 he married the former Veleta Crary at the home of Mrs. Cuthbert's late sister Mrs. Joseph Capalario in Pyrites, the Rev. Eugene Anthony officiating. He was a county maintenance foreman for 33 years retiring in 1964.
