Van Driver
(December 6, 1954--January 11, 1999)
NORWOOD--The funeral for James A. Hipp Jr., 44, of 136A Regan Road, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Buck Funeral Home with the Rev. Joanna Ramsey officiating. Spring burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Hipp died Monday of injuries suffered in an automobile accident on Route 56 between Potsdam and Norwood. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A Navy veteran, he was a van driver with New York State Association for Retarded Citizens of St. Lawrence County. Born Dec. 6, 1954 in Pueblo, Colorado, a son of James A. and Jessie Hill Hipp, he married Phyllis Connelly on May 28, 1979. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Adirondack Bass Association. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Colleen, 19, and Mary, 17, both at home; two brothers, Joseph, Santa Margaretta, Calif., and Jeffrey, Fountain Valley, Calif., and threee sisters, Mrs. Paul (Jennifer) Shepard, Comstock, Neb., Jennell Viola, Huntington Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Clifford (Jewell) Warner, Victorville, Calif.
