NORWOOD--A funeral Mass for Paul E. Hunter, 52, of 97 N. Main St., will be said at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Andrews Church with Monsignor Harry K. Snow, pastor, officiating.
Mr. Hunter died of cardiopulmonary arrest Thursday morning at his home. He had been ill with cancer.
There will no public calling hours. Arrangements are with Buck Funeral Home.
Mr. Hunter was employed through the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in Florida and was a heavy-equipment operator with St. Lawrence County Highway Department until 1987.
Born Nov. 4, 1952, in Potsdam, son of Fay G. and Melva Mace Hunter, he was a 1970 graduate of Norwood-Norfolk Central School and a 1973 graduate of North Country Community College, Saranac Lake.
He coached minor hockey at Norwood-Norfolk Central School.
Surviving are a brother, Stanley, Latham; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Patricia and Clayton LaRose, Norwood, and Cheryl M. Ware, Solomons, Md.; a sister-in-law, Rosemary Hunter, Roseboro, N.C., and several nieces and nephews.
A brother, Dean, died before him.
Donations may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley or St. Andrews Church.
