MASSENA--Robert T. Jandrew, 73, Massena, died Monday in Massena Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Jandrew was a roofer in the Syracuse area for a number of years. He later moved to Massena, where he was assistant manager in the shoe department at Ames Department Store and manager in the shoe department at Big N Department Store.

He was a member of Amvets Post 4.

Born Jan. 3, 1932, in Massena, son of George and Carrie Boak Jandrew, he was a Korean War veteran, serving in the Army from 1952 to 1954.

A marriage to Joan M. Christian on Sept. 20, 1958, at St. Andrew’s Church, Norwood, ended in divorce.

Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Nancy Stoddard, Massena, and Patti and Gerald Dabien, Moira; two sons, Randy T., Elbridge, and Robert J., Massena; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Josephine and Alan Derushia, Norwood, Mary and Raymond Eldridge, Massena, and Malvina Jandrew, Massena; a brother, Harold, Preble, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Two sisters, Gladys Fetterly and Irene Jock, and eight brothers, Ernest, Leon, George, Carl, Elmer, Charles, Ralph and Arnold, died before him.

The funeral will be at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Memorial Home with the Rev. Joseph W. Giroux officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Norwood.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
