Leonard L. LaBaff

Truck Driver

POTSDAM--Leonard L. LaBaff, 44, Potsdam, died of a heart attack Wednesday at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.

Mr. LaBaff served with the Army and was a truck driver with Marten Transport, Mondovi, Wis.

Born July 18, 1957, in Potsdam, a son of Levi and Sarah Donnelly LaBaff, he was a 1975 graduate of Potsdam Central School and married Martha J. Weller,

He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge and Raquette River Volunteer Fire Department, where he served as first assistant chief and chief.

Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Robert and Wesley, both of Potsdam; three daughters, Mrs. John (Tamara) Strader and Mrs. Joshua (Felicia) Smith, both of Potsdam, and Tracy Gotham, Massena; his stepmother, Loretta LaBaff, Potsdam; four brothers, Levi III, Massena, Gerald, Indiana, George, Ogdensburg, and Stephen, Arizona; two sisters, Mrs. Patrick (Melody) Joyce, Tennessee, and Connie Curtis, California, and eight grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Seymour Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul F. Worczak, pastor of St. Andrew’s Church, Norwood, officiating. Spring burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Norwood.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
