William LaRock Dies at 63

 

(September 27, 1906-May 13, 1970)

 

NORWOOD--William LaRock, 63, Pine Street, died Wednesday night in Potsdam Hospital, where he had been a patient one week. He had been in failing health two years.

The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Church, Rev. Francis Ruddy, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home tonight from 7 to 9 and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Surviving besides his widow, Mrs. Irene O. LaRock, are four sons, William, Jr., Rochester, Wayne, Martinsburg, W. Va., James, Islip, L.I., and John, Brentwood, L.I.; five grandchildren: two brothers, John, Parish, and Joseph, Niagara Falls; three sisters, Mrs. Charles (Eva) Meister, San Francisco, Mrs. Henry (Emma) Hunt and Mrs. Anna Sergi, Niagara Falls.

Born Sept. 27, 1906 at Niagara Falls, son of Joseph and Margaret Benno LaRock, he married Miss Irene Oakes of Norwood Oct. 3, 1931. The couple has lived here all their married life.
