Registered nurse, social worker

NORWOOD--Mildred Monica Levison, 89, of 11 Morgan St., died Saturday morning at her home. She had been in failing health.
Mrs. Levison was a registered nurse and a social worker for St. Lawrence County, retiring in 1979.
She was a communicant of St. Andrews Church and an honorary member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed baking and crocheting.
Born Feb. 3, 1916, in Port Leyden, daughter of John and Mary Ellen McManus Valencourt, she married Felix L. Levison Sr. on Oct. 17, 1942. Mr. Levison, a scope operator at Aluminum Company of America, Massena, retired in 1969. He died May 13, 1995.
Surviving are seven sons and six daughters-in-law, John and Melody, Ellenburg, Felix L. Jr. and Nancy, Timothy and Shelly, Frederick and Cathy, and Joseph and Julie, all of Norwood, Thomas, Adams Center, and Michael and Terri Lynn, Oswego; three daughters and their husbands, Connie and Byron Moxley, Rochester, Linda and Philip Regan, and Deborah and Tony Almasy, all of Norwood; 25 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Three brothers, Robert, John and James Valencourt, seven sisters, Eva Farr, Jessie Mekkelson, Helena Felshaw, Ida Smith, Mary Church, Maybelle Shannon and Anna Valencourt, and a grandson died before her.
A funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Andrews Church with Monsignor Harry K. Snow, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Buck Funeral Home, Norwood.
Donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley or Paul S. Warner Cancer Treatment Center, Potsdam.
