Mrs. Agnes Mackey

Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Snow Mackey, 49, wife of Edward

Mackey, were held Monday morning at nine from St. Andrew's

church. Rev. James E. Joy officiated.

Burial was made in Calvary cemetery. Mrs. Mackey died

at 11:30 Thursday night, Jan 23, following a stroke at 7 o'clock.

She had not been well since last August.

Mrs. Mackey was born Oct 30, 1891 in Louisville, a daughter

of Orlando and Winifred Ryan Snow. She attended school in Norfolk

and then entered the Nurse's Training School at the St. Lawrence

State Hospital. Later she transfered to the Essex County

Hospital in New Jersey from which she was graduated. Following her

graduation she practiced nursing in Winnipeg, Wis., and at Dr. Week's

Eye, Nose and Throat Hospital in New York city.

She was married to Edward Mackey of this village, on August 16, 1914

in St John's The Baptist church, Madrid. The ceremony was

performed by Rev. Father Kenny.

Surviving, besides her husband are five sons Paul, Gerald and Joseph

of this village, Leonard of Niagara Falls and Leo of Massena; two

daughters, Miss Hilda Mackey of Potsdam and Miss Dorothy Mackey

of Brentwood; L. I. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Fred Stearns

of this village and Mrs. William Welsh, Arlington, N. J., and one

brother, Edward Snow of Norfolk.
