Mrs. Mackey Dies After Long Illness

 

Norwood - Services for Mrs. Julia Barry Mackey, 50, wife ofEdward Mackey were held at 9 a. m, Wednesday at St. Andrew'sCatholic Church. The Rev. Francis Maguire, pastor, officiated.

Burial will be in Calvary cemetery, Norwood, in the spring.

She died at her home on Felton St., Sunday night at 10:45,

after being in ill health five years.

 

Surviving are her husband; seven children, Bernard 14, Phillip

13, Raymond 11, Rita 10, Patrick 9, Emma 8, Edward jr. 6; also

seven stepchildren, Paul Mackey, Norwood, Leo and Leonard Mackey,

South Colton, Joseph Mackey, California, Gerald Mackey,

Verona, Mrs. Hilda Van Dyke, Ogdensburg, and Mrs. Dorothy

Hartman, Potsdam; two brothers, John and Michael Barry, Massena;

four sisters, Mrs. Anna LaShomb, Potsdam, Mrs. Ida

Laubenheimer, Potsdam, Mrs. George (Eleanor) LaShomb, Massena,

Mrs. Michael (Agnes) Bouchard, Valleyfield, Que,

 

She was born Oct. 18, 1908, in Norfolk, a daughter of Michael and Margaret Crowley Barry. She was graduated from Norwood High School in 1929 and later was graduated from the St. Lawrence State Hospital School of Nursing in Ogdensburg.

 

She married Edward Mackey June 27, 1943.

 

She was a member of the Altar-Rosary Society of St. Andrew's Church and St. Lawrence Nurses Alumni Association of Ogdensburg.
