Leo Mackey
The pupils and teachers of the High School were cast into deep
gloom early Wednesday afternoon when the report came that Leo
Mackey had breathed his last. The news of his death was such a shock,
received so unexpectedly, that it was with the greatest difficulty that the
pupils and teachers were aide to continue their work during that afternoon.
'
Leo was a first year pupil of the High School. Me was a careful and
painstaking pupil of more than average ability. He possessed a very
cheerful and lovable disposition. Every pupil in the High School had a
good word for him. He was respected and loved by all of his teachers.
The High School has by the death of Leo Mackey, lost a most devoted
pupil. The teachers and the pupils of the High School extend to his
father, to his mother, to his sister and to his brothers, their deepest
sympathy.
(This obituary was supplied by Rob Palmer. Leo F. Mackey is buried in Calvary Cemetery, Norwood)
