Pipe Fitter
(February 6, 1916-March 6, 2001)
NORWOOD--Paul E. Mackey, 85, formerly of 7020 Embassy Blvd., Port Richey, Fla., and Norwood, died Tuesday at Arbors at Bayonet Point Nursing Home, Hudson, Fla. Mr. Mackey served in the Navy Seabees and was a pipe fitter at Aluminum Company Of America, Massena, until his retirement. Born Feb. 6, 1916, in Potsdam, son of Edward and Agnes Snow Mackey, he was a 1935 graduate of Norwood High School. He married Viola M. Nichols on May 34, 1938, at St. Andrew's Church with the Rev. James E. Joy officiating. He was a communicant of St. Andrews's Church, and of St. Michael's Church, Port Richey, and a member of the Alcoa 25-Year Club. Surviving besides his wife are three daughters, Mrs. John (Joan) Price, Massena, Mrs. Donald (Shirley) Pennington, Burkburnett, Texas, and Sondra Wallic, New Port Richey, Fla.; seven brothers, Patrick, Edward and Phillip, all of Norwood, Leo, Hannawa Falls, Joseph, California, Gerald, Canastota, and Raymond, Massachusetts; three sisters, Dorothy Fenton, Potsdam, Mrs. William (Rita) Jackson, Norwood, and Mrs. James (Emma) McKorkel, Ontario, Canada, 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A daughter, Janice Bouchard, died before him A spring graveside service will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Buck Funeral Home.
