Helen Marion Manfred

 

(November 5, 1915-September 21, 1934)

 

Miss Helen Marion Manfred, 18-year-old daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Henry Manfred died Friday at her home in Norwood after an illness of three days from pneumonia.

Miss Manfred suffered a cold last week but appeared in better health on Monday and returned to school. She became ill on Tuesday and the following day pneumonia set in.

She was born in Norwood, Nov. 5, 1915, the fourth child and second daughter of Henry and Lillian Castle Manfred. Her entire 18 years had been spent in Norwood.

She was a member of the senior class of the Norwood High school and was a communicant of St. Andrews Catholic church. Her father is a tailor of this village.

Surviving are her parents; two older brothers, Ernest Manfred of Ogdensburg and Francis Manfred of Massena; one older sister, Miss Dorothy Manfred of Ogdensburg and one younger sister, Miss Margaret Manfred of Norwood.

Miss Manfred was a niece of William Manfred of Potsdam and her father was born here and conducted a tailoring shop here awhile last year.
