Funeral services for Mrs. Cora S. Oliver, a former Potsdam resident who died in Clearwater, Fla., early Sunday morning, were held this morning from the Shepard funeral home in Norwood and at 10 a.m. from St. Andrew’s Catholic church in that village. Burial was made in Calvary cemetery, Norwood.

The daughter of Daniel and Angelia Scanlon, she was born in the Potsdam section about 78 years ago. She was married to William Oliver, a railroad man of Norwood, who died about 32 years ago.

For many years she operated a ladies’ dress store in Potsdam. For the past several years she had been spending the summer months with her son, William, in Livingston, N.J. and the winter months in Florida.

Surviving are her son and several nieces and nephews.
