Railroad Engineer
(February 10, 1918--June 22, 1998)
The funeral for Dominic J. Orologio, 80, of 38 Depot St., will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrew's Church with the Rev. Paul Worczak, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Orologio died Monday evening at his home. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Buck Funeral Home. He served with the Army during World War II and was an engineer with Massena Railroad Terminal until his retirement in 1977, after 40 years. Born Feb. 10, 1918, in Norwood, son of Antonio and Antonia Ciarlo Orologio, he married Josie C. Johnson in 1955. She died March 22, 1985. He enjoyed gardening. Surviving are six sons, Barry, Canton, and Michael, Joseph, Dominic J. Jr., David and Gary, all of Norwood; three daughtters, Mrs. Eric (Bonnie) Peterson, Norwood, Mrs. Gary (Mary) Griggs, Virginia, and Mrs. Michael (Bernadette) Rose, Potsdam; two brothers, Anthony and Nicholas, both of Norwood; a sister, Mary Fiacco, Massena, and 16 grandchildren. A brother, Louis, and two sisters, Theresea Chilton and Helen Marquette, died before him. Contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.
