NORWOOD--Richard ("Ricky") James Parr, 50, formerly of Norwood, died of cancer Wednesday evening at the home of Jamie and Marge Barkley, 316 County Route 38, Norfolk.

Mr. Parr was employed with Aramark Food Service at Clarkson University, Potsdam, for 17 years.

Born Jan. 6, 1954, in Potsdam, son of Robert R. and Irene Gallagher Parr, he was a communicant of St. Andrew’s Church and an avid Clarkson University hockey fan.

Surviving are a brother and his wife, Thomas R. and Donna, Neenah, Wis.

His parents and a brother, William, died before him.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew’s Church with Monsignor Harry K. Snow, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today at Buck Funeral Home.

Donations may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
