Retired Butcher (May 15, 1918--January 24, 1998)
NORWOOD--James F. Peacock, 79, died Saturday in Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam. Mr. Peacock was a butcher with Pahler Packing Company, Potsdam, until his retirement after 35 years of service. Born May 15, 1918, in Norfolk, a son of Jay and Marion Peacock, he married Pearl Dufore on Dec. 22, 1951. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Richard, Madrid, and Daniel, Brasher Falls; three daughters, Jacqueline Davey and Michele Peacock, both of Norwood, and Ellen Thompson, Winthrop; four brothers, John, Colton, Lloyd and Richard, both of Schenectady, and Harold, Madrid; a sister, Bessie Thompson, Florida, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Andrew's Church with the Rev. Paul Worczak, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Buck Funeral Home.
