NORWOOD--The funeral for Pearl I. Peacock, 79, of 46 S. Main St., will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrews Church with Monsignor Harry K. Snow officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Peacock died Monday afternoon at her home.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Buck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Peacock was a cook at Norwood-Norfolk Central School until her retirement in 1990.
Born Nov. 28, 1924, in Norwood, daughter of Joseph and Iva Christy Dufore, she married James F. Peacock on Dec. 22, 1951. He died Jan. 24, 1998.
She was a communicant of St. Andrews Church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are a son and his wife, Richard and Susan, Potsdam; two daughters, Jacqueline Davey, Norfolk, and Michelle Peacock, Norwood; a brother, Ronald Dufore, Arizona; three sisters, Mrs. Daniel (Linda) Brooks, Oolitic, Ind., Maureen Gonyea, Norfolk, and Mrs. Philip (Irene) French, Syracuse, and five grandchildren.
Two brothers, Amos and Gerald J. Dufore, and a sister, Betty Cheesman, died before her.
