NORWOOD--The funeral for Charles Joseph Post, 66, of 54 N. Main St., will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew's Church with the Rev. Paul Worczak, pastor, officiating. Mr. Post died Monday afternoon after his car ran off Andrews Street and hit a tree in front of the Seaway Development Corporation building. St. Lawrence County Coroner Patricia A. Webster said Mr. Post died of natural causes after suffering a heart attack. Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Buck Funeral Home He served in the Army from 1951 to 1953, where he played semiprofessional soccer, and was employed by New York Telephone Co. and AT&T Corp until his retirement in 1987, after 34 years. He was a trustee of the village of Norwood for eight years and was a past mayor pro tem. Born Dec. 29, 1933, in Norwood, son of Charles Harold and Mary Katherine McGinnis Post, he was a graduate of Norwood-Norfolk Central School. He mnarried Dolores A. Mariano on Dec. 26, 1959, at St. Andrew's Church with Monsignor Francis J. Maguire officiating. He was a communicant of St. Andrew's Church, a member of Telephone Pioneers of America and a member and past grand knight of Knights of Columbus Council 2309. Surviving besides his wife are a son, Charles H., Saratoga Springs; two daughters, Mrs. Allan (Jacqueline) Blanchard, Nazareth, Pa., and Mrs. Donald (Joanna) Jenack, Massena; five sisters, Molly Morgan, Potsdam, Ann Duffy, Ogdensburg, Jean Doran, Deerfield Beach, Fla., Rita Gaffney, Alberton, Ga., and Eileen Donovan, Princeton, N.J.; seven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Jack, and a sister, Margaret Pusateri, died before him. Donations may be made to St. Andrew's Church Meditation Garden Fund.
