Retired Teacher
(September 14, 1932--November 8, 1999)
NORWOOD--Dolores M. Curry Sitterly, 68, Camillus, a native of Norwood, died Monday at her home. Mrs. Sitterly was an educational therapist at Hutchings Psychiatric Center, Syracuse, for 20 years, retiring in 1998. She had previouly been a teacher in Parishville. Born Sept. 14, 1932, in Norwood, daughter of Amos and Marguerite Leonard curry, she graduated from Immaculate Heart Academy, Watertown. She attended D'Youville College, Buffalo, and graduated from Potsdam State Teachers College. She was previously married to Richard A. Sitterly. Mrs. Sitterly was a member of Holy Family Church, Fairmount. Surviving are two sisters, Betty Curry Whalen, Syracuse, and Jean Curry Basta, Dansville, and a brother, Walter L. Curry, Lady Lake, Fla. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Church. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in Calvary Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Whelan Bros. Funeral Home, Fairmount. Donations may be made to Wadhams Hall Seminary and College, Riverside Drive, Ogdensburg, N.Y. 13669.
