The funeral for Elizabeth M. Stanford, 66, of 3 High St., formerly of Carthage and Norwood, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Buck Funeral Home, Norwood, with the Rev. Andrew J. Amyot officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Norwood. Mrs. Stanford died Tuesday evening in Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam, where she had been a patient since Aug. 22. Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Stanford was a homemaker. Born July 4, 1933, in West Carthage, daughter of Leo and Dorothy Prevo LaLone, she married Robert L. Stanford on Jan. 22, 1950. He died May 21, 1995. She was a member of the Jolly Agers Senior Citizens and a past member of the Norwood American Legion Post Auxiliary. Surviving are two sons, Robert L. Jr., Carthage, and Scott, Norwood; three daughters, Mrs. Gary (Lynn) Bancroft, Norwood, Mrs. Joseph (Roxanne) Fitzsimmons, Waterford, and Mrs. Kenneth (Rebecca) Matin, Oswego; three brothers, John, Richard and Harold LaLone, all of Carthage; a sister, Joanne Law, Hopkinton, and nine grandchildren. Four brothers, Leo, Michael, Robert and Donald LaLone, died before her. Donations may be made to the American Caner Society.
