BRASHER FALLS--Funeral services for Anna L. Sullivan, 92, of Ogdensburg, will be held Wednesday at St. Patrick’s Church, Brasher Falls, with Rev. Stephen Gratto officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Norwood.

Calling hours will be held today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop.

Mrs. Sullivan died Sunday (Oct. 10, 2004) at St. Joseph’s Home, Ogdensburg.

She is survived by two sons, Donald of Morristown and Gary and his fiancee, Joan Brack of Lake Hopatcong, N.J.; one daughter, Jean of Madrid; one sister, Irene of North Carolina; 10 grandchildren, Debra, Daniel, Timothy, David, Andrew, John Hayes, and Colleen Fletcher, all of Florida, Cynthia Earlywine of Morristown, and Michael Sullivan and Kerrie Gumaer of New Jersey; and 16 great-grandchildren, Larry, Jessie, Paul, Patrick, Andrew, John, Dustin, Joshua, Cheyenne, Ajani, Logan, Lauren, Misty, Matthew, Samantha, and Jessica.

Mrs. Sullivan was predeceased by two sons, Joseph and John; and a daughter, Veronica, who was a twin to Jean; three brothers, George, Charles and Arthur Oakes; and four sisters, Lula Martine, Manfred Briggs, Margaret Delisle, and Maude Kingsley.

She was born on April 7, 1912 in Brushton and attended school in Norwood.

She married Michael Sullivan at St. Andrews Church in Norwood on June 18, 1931. They celebrated 65 years of marriage before he passed away on April 19,. 1997.

She was an avid parishioner and St. Patrick’s Church and a member of the altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed knitting and spent many hours crocheting blankets for all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
