NORWOOD--The funeral for Pierre E. Tessier, 81, of 19 Clark St., will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew’s Church with the Rev. Paul Worczak, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Tessier died Monday at Fletcher Allen Health Care, Burlington, Vt., where he had been a patient since Thursday.

Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Buck Funeral Home.

Mr. Tessier was employed in the remelt department at the Aluminum Company of America for 41 years, retiring in 1984.

He was a communicant of St. Andrew’s Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 11544 of Norfolk, 4th Degree Assembly 710 and the Akwesasne Marine Corps League, and a past member of the Norwood Fire Department. He was also a past Explorers Boy Scout master.

Born Dec. 10, 1921, in Beauharnois, Quebec, son of Louis and Josephine Bouchard Tessier, he was a World War II veteran of the Marine Corps.

He married Evelyn Noreau on Sept. 6, 1941, in Fort Covington.

Surviving besides his wife are two sons and their wives, Lee and Lynn, Winthrop, and Mark and Elaine, Moon Township, Pa.; a daughter, Gail McKenty, Daytona Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Maurice and Fernand, both of Massena; a sister, Mrs. Lawrence (Pauline) Dunkelbury, Massena, nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, Louis and John, and a sister, Marie Montpetit, died before him.
