Frances S. Wood

 

(April 29, 1901-December 20, 1942)

 

Mrs. Frances S. Wood, wife of Harold Wood, Norwood, died Sunday morning in Royal Victoria hospital, Montreal. Mrs. Wood had been a patient in Potsdam hospital for some time and had been transferred to Montreal by her physician, Dr. L. T. McNulty, about a week before. Death was due to leukemia, a blood ailment.

Mrs. Wood was born in Frelicksburg, Que., April 29, 1901, daughter of Howard and Nellie Coderre Shepard. She was educated in a convent there and removed to Potsdam with her family about 25 years ago. Prior to her marriage to Mr. Wood, Norwood agent of the Railway Express in 1923 she was in the business office of the Potsdam Courier and Freeman and afterward in the office of the Arlington Inn.

Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Mary, 11, both of Norwood; her parents of Elderkin St., Potsdam and a brother, John Shepard, town of Potsdam.

Funeral services were held at St. Andrews church, Norwood, at 10 a.m. Wednesday and interment was in Calvary Cemetery, Norwood.
