Mrs. Herbert Gilbo Dies In Hospital

 

(February 2, 1889-April 26, 1949)

 

Mrs. Sylvia Mary Gilbo, wife of Herbert Gilbo, Canton, died Tuesday night in Hepburn Hospital, Ogdensburg, where she had been a patient for the past week.

Rev. Max Kapp officiated at the funeral services which were held Friday at 2 p.m. from the First Universalist Church in Canton. Burial was in Fairview cemetery.

Surviving, besides her husband, Herbert, of Canton, are three sons, Russe of Syracuse and Willard and Rolland of Canton, four daughters, Mrs. Ezra (Beatrice) Stout of Ft. Devers, Mass., Mrs. Gerald (Beulah) Crump, Syracuse, Mrs. Andrew (Helen) Toro and Mrs. Mabel Wilson, of Canton, and seven grandchildren.

Mrs. Gilbo was born in Norwood Feb. 2, 1889, daughter of Jerry and Betty Powell Merrill, and was married to Herbert Gilbo on Oct. 17, 1907.
