NORWOOD--Blanche G. Barkley, 87, Regan Road, died Thursday in Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam.

Born May 23, 1911, in Brasher Falls, a daughter of Wesley and Margaret Morrison Dignean, she married Wilbur Barkley on Oct. 18, 1930. He died Sept. 30, 1985.

Surviving are three sons, Wayne, Central Square, Wendell, Norwood, and Weldon, Waddington; a brother, Halbert Dignean, Brewerton; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

A daughter, Beverly Scott, died in Dec. 1995.

The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Buck Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bixby Cemetery, Norfolk.

Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to Norfolk Volunteer Rescue Squad.
