Joseph A. Bregg III

Joseph A. Bregg III, 16, or Phoenix, died Dec. 8, 2005 as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

He was born in Potsdam and was in the junior class at the J.C. Birdlebough High School, Phoenix. He was a varsity basketball player, number 23, and played junior varsity basketball, baseball and soccer. He was also an avid sportsman.

He was predeceased by his grandmother, Agnes E. Bregg, who died Sept. 20, 1995.

Surviving are his mother, Nancy A. Bregg and (John W. Spotswood) of Phoenix; father, Joseph A. Bregg Jr. and (Cindy Ashley) of Madrid, N.Y.; sister, Sarah E. Bregg; paternal grandparents, Joseph A. Sr. and Bobbie Bregg of Norwood; maternal grandparents, Hugh and Norma Miller of Silver Springs, Fla.; uncles, Jerry Bregg of Alaska, Rick Miller of Florida, and Randy (Marilyn) Miller of Rouses Point; and several cousins.

Services were held Tuesday at St. Stephen’s Church, Main and Bridge Streets, Phoenix. Spring burial will be in Norwood, N.Y.

Allanson-Glanville-Tappan was in care of arrangement.
