Quality Control Inspector

NORWOOD--The funeral for Carol Ann Brooks, 54, County Route 49, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hammill Funeral Home, Winthrop, with the Rev. Andrew J. Amyot, pastor of the Church of the Visitation, officiating. Burial will be in Ingham Cemetery, Brier Hill.
Mrs. Brooks died of cancer Saturday at her home.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She was a teacher's aide at St. Lawrence Central School, Brasher Falls, worked in the quality control department at Mitel Inc., Ogdensburg, and worked in Syracuse for 17 years. Since 1990 she had been a quality control inspector at NuMed Inc., Hopkinton, where she was named employee of the month in February 1997.
Born Sept. 17, 1946, in Massena, daughter of Delford J. "Freddy" and Elizabeth M. Rivet Bouchard, she attended Massena Central School. She married Joseph J. Brooks of Morristown on June 3, 1995.
She was a member of American Legion Post 514 Auxiliary and a life member and past secretary and treasurer of the St. Lawrence County Trappers Association, where she received the association's appreciation award.
Surviving besides her husband and her father of Massena are a stepson, Joseph L. Brooks, Norwood; a sister, Jane E. Smith, Louisville, and an aunt.
Her mother died June 9, 1997. A brother, Lawrence J. Bouchard, died July 5, 1997.
