NORWOOD--The funeral for Loretta M. Burdick, 92, Norwood, will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Garner Funeral Home, Potsdam, with the Rev. John P. Kennehan officiating. Spring burial will be in Beech Plains Cemetery, Pierrepont.

 Mrs. Burdick died Friday in Massena Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since Wednesday.

 Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

 She and her husband, Ward, moved in 1942 to West Potsdam, where they operated a farm. From 1956 to 1978, they also owned and operated Burdick’s General Store, West Potsdam.

 Born March 13, 1909, in the town of Lawrence, daughter of Frank and Maude Jock Moody, she attended schools in Nicholville. She married Ward V. Burdick on Nov. 26,1926 in Hopkinton. He died April 15, 1978.

 She was a wallpaper hanger and quilter, a member of the Audubon Society in Florida and coordinator of the Deland (Fla.) Activities Club. She spent winters in Florida.

 Surviving are two sons and their wives, Claude E. and Barbara, Waddington, and Gale and Karen, Poland, N.Y.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Barbara and Jesse Day, Madrid, Ellen Planty, Potsdam, and Joyce and Robert Sill, Argyle; two sisters, Wavabell Randall, Parishville, and Harriet Hyde, Ogdensburg; 27 grandchildren, 43 great-grand-children and two great-great-grandchildren.

 Two brothers, Lyle and Norman Moody, and a sister, Evelyn Goodnow, died before her.
