NORWOOD--Helen Mary Caringi, 76, of 5020 Church St., Taberg, a native of Norwood, died Tuesday at Rome Memorial Hospital.

 Born June 5, 1926, in Norwood, she was a daughter of Joseph J. and Pearl White LaComb.

 She married I. John Caringi May 5, 1956. He died June 19, 1967.

 Mrs. Caringi was a member of Taberg American Legion Meeker-O’Rourke Post Auxiliary.

 Surviving are a daughter, Judy L. Phillips, Taberg; two sons and their wives, Michael and Pamela, Taberg, and John E. and Kelly, Maine; four stepdaughters, Bonnie Caringi, Albany, and Kelly Johnson, Karen Miller and Shirley Miller, all of Virginia; three stepsons, Michael Miller, Virginia, Dale Miller, Norwood and Randy Miller, Potsdam; a sister, Betty Larabee, Fulton; four brothers, James LaComb, Carthage, Charles LaComb, Norfolk, Fred LaComb, St. Regis Falls, and Robert LaComb, Niagara Falls; several grandchildren, a great granddaughter and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

 The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Church, Potsdam, with the Rev. Garry B. Giroux officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Potsdam.

 Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Garner Funeral Home, Potsdam.
