NORWOOD--Vera E. Cote, 64, of 4 Bicknell St., died Sunday evening at her home.

 Mrs. Cote was a clerk at Hess Drug Store and at one time worked at Woodlawn Hotel, both in Massena.

 She was a member of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church and enjoyed dancing, prayers and church missions.

 Born Oct. 9, 1938, in Colton, daughter of Stanley and Ethel Doris Blanchard McKizer, she graduated from Massena High School in 1957.

 She married John W. Cote on April 4, 1959, at St. Mary’s Church, Massena. The marriage ended in divorce. Mr. Cote died Sept. 16, 1997.

 Surviving are a son, John, Norwood; a daughter and her husband, Doris and Bill Wall, Brasher Falls; two sisters, Wilda VanOrman, Rensselaer, and Mrs. Dolan (Reta) Daggett, Fort Jackson, and three grandchildren.

 A son, Michael, died Sept. 20. A sister, Evelyn, died in infancy.

 The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Brian Kellington officiating. Burial will be in Stark Cemetery, South Colton.

 Calling hours are from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. today at Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena.

 Donations may be made to St. Philip’s Episcopal Church Memorial Fund.
