NORWOOD--The funeral for Rodney A. Davey, 48, of 3019 County Route 35, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church, Norfolk, with the Rev. Thomas Jones officiating. The body will be cremated.

Mr. Davey died Tuesday at the Nomad Motel, Potsdam. He had been ill with diabetes.

Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Buck Funeral Home, Norfolk.

He was a millwright with Aluminum Company of America, Massena, and later was a self-employed millwright.

Born March 30, 1955, in Union Springs, son of John and Thelma Daggett Davey, he was a 1973 graduate of Norwood-Norfolk Central School. He married Jacqueline Peacock on April 19, 1975, at St. Andrew’s Church with the Rev. John Wiley officiating. The marriage ended in divorce.

Surviving besides his mother of Norfolk and his father of Massena are a daughter, Amanda Davey, Potsdam; two brothers, Raymond, Norfolk, and Frank, Norwood, and three sisters, Mrs. Thomas (Leann) Saxby, Norfolk, Mrs. Steve (Laura) Wright, Norwood, and Mrs. Mark (Elizabeth) Henshaw, Port Charlotte, Fla.
