Services for Frank Deon, 66, or Norwood, the 40th person to die on St. Lawrence County highways in 1967, were held Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. from St. Andrews Church in Norwood. Burial was made in St. Marys Cemetery, Potsdam.
Mr. Deon was born Oct. 29, 1901 in St. Regis Falls, a son of Philip and Elizabeth LaCombe Deon. In early life he married Pearl Percy and she died in October, 1965. He was a farmer at Norwood.
Surviving are 13 children.
The seven daughters are Mrs. Amos (Johanna) Bond, Winthrop, Mrs. Perry (Pauline) LePage, Hannibal, Mrs. Paul (Barbara) Roy, Brookhaven, L.I.; Mrs. Philip (Evelyn) Monroe, Potsdam, Mrs. Richard (Shirley) Greene, Theresa, Mrs. Pearl LaShomb, Fulton, Mrs. Grant (Bernice) Powers, Moira.
The six sons are Robert Deon, North Rose, N.Y., Charles Deon, Farmingdale, L.I., Philip Deon, Greenwich, Frank Deon Jr., address unknown, Richard Deon, Hannibal, Douglas Deon, at home.
Also surviving are 65 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
There are three brothers, Nohia and Leroy Deon, both of Potsdam, and George Deon, Raymondville; three sisters, Mrs. Gladys Lavair, Helena, Mrs. Edward (May) Caskinette, St. Regis Falls, and Mrs. Edward (Myrtle) Snyder, Syracuse.
