NORFOLK--Mildred Elizabeth DeShane, 97, formerly of Norfolk, died Saturday evening in Loretto Nursing Home, Utica.

Miss DeShane was a homemaker.

She was born Jan. 8, 1904, in Norfolk, daughter of Robert and Mary Fezette DeShane.

Surviving are two half brothers, Alex DeShane, Norwood, and Cecil DeShane, Winthrop; two half sisters, Georginia Moody, Norfolk, and Veva Kelly, Winthrop, and several nephews.

A brother, Robert DeShane, two half brothers, Gerald and Peter DeShane, a stepbrother, Leonard Martin, a sister, Anna Elizabeth DeShane, and four stepsisters, Marge Ward, Lillian DeShane, Elsie Arquitte and Susie Smith, died before her.

The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Buck Funeral Home, Norwood, with the Rev. Richard Lenz, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Bixby Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
