POTSDAM--The funeral for Ronald C. Dunbar, 78, formerly of 1131 Mayfield Drive, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Buck Funeral Home, Norwood, with the Rev. Andrew J. Amyot, pastor of the Church of the Visitation, Norfolk, officiating. Spring burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Madrid.

Mr. Dunbar died early Sunday at United Helpers Canton Nursing Home.

Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Dunbar served as a Seabee with the Navy from 1944 to 1946 and was a heat treater and mill helper at Aluminum Company of America, Massena, until his retirement in 1987, after 35 years.

Born March 29, 1926, in Norwood, son of Ralph and Laura Grant Dunbar, he married Yvonne Shea on Nov. 5, 1966.

He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1143, Massena, and the Norfolk American Legion Post.]

]Surviving is his wife, Yvonne.

A son, Carlin Ray, and a daughter, Gina Mae Dunbar, died Sept. 21, 1972. A sister, Barbara Ann Dunbar, died in 1945.
