Managing Engineer
(October 25, 1943-June 2, 2002)
NORWOOD--Dennis Clay Emburey, 58, Bothell, Wash., formerly of Norwood, died Sunday in Bellevue, Wash. He had been ill with Parkinsons disease.
Mr. Emburey served with the Navy from September 1961 to October 1967 aboard the USS Ranger, receiving an Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for service rendered near Vietnam. He was managing engineer at Boeing Aircraft Co., Rockwell International Corp. and Northrop/Grumman Corp. until his retirement due to disability.
Born Oct. 25, 1943, in Potsdam, son of Clay and Keitha Emburey, he was a graduate of Norwood-Norfolk Central School and Canton Agricultural and Technical College. He received a masters degree in industrial distribution management from Clarkson University, Potsdam. He married Dale Walters on Sept. 10, 1967, in Bellevue.
Surviving besides his wife and his mother, of Potsdam, are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Davis and Gina, and Daniel, all of Bothell; two brothers, Marshall, Norwood, and James, Colton, and a sister, Lisa Emburey, Potsdam.
His father died Nov. 13, 1994, and a brother, Gregory, died Nov. 2, 1961.
A memorial service will be Thursday at Crystal Lake, Bellevue. Arrangements are with Greens Funeral Home, Kirkland, Wash.
