Administrative Secretary

PARISHVILLE--Riva V. Ferguson, 75, Parishville, died Sunday in Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam.
Mrs. Ferguson was an administrative secretary at Clarkson University, Potsdam, for several years and previously was a secretary at Ames Department Store and served on the St. Lawrence County Board of Elections.
She was a former member of Parishville Fire Department Auxiliary and St. Michaels Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed doing crafts, knitting and crocheting.
Born Nov. 2, 1927, in Malone, daughter of Clarence and Eva Mitchell Vivlamore, she graduated from Norwood High School.
She married Charles Ferguson on May 9, 1947.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronald and Louise, and Richard, all of Parishville; a daughter and her husband, Mary and Raymond Parker, Hopkinton; two brothers, Richard Vivlamore, Ilion, and John Vivlamore, Florida; three sisters, Rachael Cummings, Lake Placid, Beatrice Hyde, Rochester, and Betty Chinard, Arizona; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A daughter, Ann Norman, died in April 1979. A brother, Robert Vivlamore, also died before her.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michaels Church with the Rev. Howard J. Venette officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
